Hi!@CUPCAKE WITH TWINKLES🧁 …They say it went well, recovery is such a slow process! There are a few good things, swelling's down a bit, but it’s still hard to eat and that doesn’t help anything. Been home about a week, more pain in the leg because I’m on my feet far more than when in the hospital. The care's second to none,the hospital management so-so. Not such a surprise, after all.

A very long time ago, Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, said “Nothing is constant but change”. Well, change has come for me, and I'm now no longer running the tribe. Please re-welcome Cupcake with Twinkles back as she was the original chief and will take things on going forward. Please expect everything to remain the same (funny to be saying that, but hey, it’s true!). I’ll be back at some unknown point in the future. For now, I'm headed to NYC soon for a mandibulectomy, which is surgery to replace part of my jaw with bone taken from my leg. This means learning to walk, eat, swallow and talk again, so it's gonna take time and more importantly, focus, on my part to get through. On Thursday I begin a journey intended to rid myself of the last vestiges of cancer complications (had an actually curable type…had no idea at the time that was possible, but 10 years later I’m here with no recurrences). I will during this time, which may quite some time as my research tells me there's several surgeries involved, try to keep everything running smoothly thanks to hospital Wi-Fi. Only thing is it may be a matter of time here or there before requests can be answered. Please stick with us and I’ll do my level best to stick with you! Hoping for a smile again, Namaste🔥

@YORKS 42660944JC , I loved your story about how you met another MSM player and connected! I do not know anyone who plays who I can actually talk to in person. I started playing because of my nieces and they no longer play. I remember many years ago ( I think it was you) who said you were playing your silly game in an airport and wondering if anyone else was there playing too. I responded that we should have a photo Tshirt made to make ourselves stand out to fellow players....something like that. I was recently stuck in an airport for 4 hours or so due to delays and remembered that ! I never did make a tshirt but I really should for the next time I travel or even go for a hike around here. The game has certainly changed a lot over the years!

Hi and Happy New Year to all! I had a little heartwarming experience today that I wanted to share. I’ve never found anyone “in real life” who plays MSM… until today. I am a dental hygienist, and was seeing one of my long time patients. She brought in her six year old grandson, who was visiting her from Tennessee. Very polite and well-behaved young man named Dax. He was sitting in a little chair, coloring in his coloring book. I looked over at him and did a double take. I said, what he’s coloring looks like one of the characters in a game I play! Turns out, Dax has a MSM coloring book (he’d been coloring a Noggin!). His grandma told me he loved MSM and had just had an MSM-themed birthday party (where none of the invited kids had ever heard of MSM!). He talked about his game and everything he liked about it, and I showed him my game on my phone. His grandma said she’d have to start playing too! I am ridiculously pleased about this little encounter!

@NAMASTE🔥 Hope you can find some joy this summer. I am on vacation at the beach. My husband and I have brought along our old dog and my elderly mother to give my sister a break. I was concerned that it would not be much of a vacation due to having Mom along but it is going quite well so far. My latest go to is a green smoothie - it is quite satisfying which surprised me and easy to make.

@QUEENOHEARTS💖 Duh, yeah! Around here (upstate) ya gotta b a bit more specific though. I guess your locals think the city is Pittsburgh, although we know better! Taking the summer and hoping for fun time….my mother isn't doing well, and it’s absorbing more and more of my time. I need more time to heal my mouth fully before they hack it again anyway. Just bummed about the limited food options, the time consuming prep with all that chopping and the inability to eat out.

@NAMASTE🔥 Slone is a great hospital. I’m glad they can offer you options though it sounds like a long slog. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and send good vibes your way daily. I was born and grew up on Long Island about an hour from “the city” so I know exactly what you’re talking about, lol! I didn’t transplant to Pennsylvania until 1989. Once a New Yorker always a New Yorker, right? Take care 🙏🏼

@QUEENOHEARTS💖 I am so thankful that you're doing better. Bridgework often gives you an excellent replacement…mine worked for many years….so long as it's done well. As to me, well, it's a mixed bag. Turns out the lower jaw can't support dentures or implants, so everything's going to wait until I can get it rebuilt…they do that at Slone-Kettering in the the city (where I grew up, NYC is *the* city!) It takes 2surgeries to harvest bone and then graft them to the jaw, followed with implants post healing. I should be ready (in terms of healing) in the fall for that. Hopefully, should all go well, I should have permanent implant teeth, which would be a massive improvement over what I have now, which is….none. It's been a massive adjustment but at least I don’t have to sacrifice too much in terms of flavor, but the options of what I can eat are limited. Very limited. Yet,thankfully, this should all be medical, as it's all related to the cancer treatment and is being done in a hospital….so I'm 🥹 for that! Yes,getting older is not for the young! They can't handle it!

@NAMASTE🔥 I have been praying for you and hope things are improving. I think I am just about back on track health wise now. Just dealing with some blood pressure issues and trying to find a med that works but doesn’t make me feel badly. I’m super sensitive to medication and always seem to get the side effects. However this is minimal compared to what you are dealing with. I’m having a “three legged” bridge installed in July as I finally have enough money saved up. I can’t get an implant because the dentist that pulled my molar tooth out too much of the jaw bone that they can’t even build up the bone to make an implant feasible. I hate having dental work done! It’s painful and expensive. I also need an implant on the other side but it will take another few years to save for that so I will just have to manage with the gap until then. Hoping that getting one side fixed will help prevent my teeth from moving around any further. This getting older business is not for sissies!!

@QUEENOHEARTS💖 Oh noes! Last thing anyone needs is another. Infectious disease! You ought to get "Management" to invest in some air filters. Or go work for a hospital where they have them in surplus. Up here in NY recovery has been coming along slowly, but at least there's some progress. Saw a prosthodonticst, he won't make me dentures without getting implants. He thought loose dentures would rebreak the jaw. I was livid! Yeah, sure I'd love implants, but in my case,for a full mouth, it's $30,000! I found a place(believe it or not, it's for real) that does grants for stuff like this. Since this is a post-cancer reconstruction I should be well qualified for one. We'll see how it goes. For the moment, he referred me to his mother, who is a cosmetic dental specialist and can get a denture for me in the interim. Going a few more months without teeth (and thus the inability to eat real food) beats the qwap out of a year+ until the whole deal is fully healed and ready for another roughy surgery. (They would be done all at once as I'd need another course of hyperbaric treatments…which the hyperbaric people know is likely) Time will tell how everything will fall together, and I should have teeth for at least half the season! So I'm hopeful!

My sister and I actually have a game where we leave the corrupted words in the text and see if we can figure out what we really meant to say and we usually just have a good laugh. i’m so glad they figured out what’s wrong and there’s some thing they can do for you. I was well for about 10 days and then came down with sinusitis bronchitis and ear infection turned into pneumonia, and I’ve been down for 10 days again. Beginning to think I work in a petri dish and not an accounting office. I live just outside Gettysburg and we do have pretty although not very large lakes in the area but big enough to kayak! Would be great to meet up!!

I am so thankful to everyone getting together to make the mark week after week! Got an answer finally to what's been holding my recovery back…seems I've become anemic and I tell ya, for something that's so curable it's truly a living hell to be in it. And it's a slow road back to full strength so bear with me…..it's gonna be some time until all is well. So it's not as much a matter of pain as it is lethargy and persistent exhaustion. Now that I've had about a week of iron I'm starting to perk up a little, so long as I don't climb stairs which is impossible when one lives in a townhouse. One of these days I'll see about making a trip out your way when we're both recovered, I'd love to meet you! (Got a nice lake nearby?) Thanks to you, and all for keeping on keeping on! What lose can we do?

@NAMASTE🔥 praying for you for no pain and speedy healing. I wish I lived close enough to visit or help in some way. I’m so sorry not to have responded sooner. It’s been a wild ride here. As you know I’m an accountant and it’s tax season. Waiting for appointment with a rheumatologist and I have one scheduled in May with neurologist so I’m dealing with the eyes and the drops are helping some. I came down with Covid again last Friday (half our staff is out sick!) and today is the first that I am feeling human. We have to stick together. Sending love and hugs and good vibes to all🙏🏼💕💫

So any ideas for the future are up in the air for the time being until we see how healing goes and what we have in the end. ….. to you all!

@CUPCAKE WITH TWINKLES🧁 @QUEENOHEARTS💖 @EVERYONE…..After getting through all he cardiac testing, getting added BP meds to keep it under control, the first series of hyperbarics got underway middle of last month. And everything was going okay, despite the hospital experiencing a water main break which caused a delay of several days. I had to have 20 treatments before surgery, it happened on day 18! Well, yesterday was finally the day. And things went sideways from there. All the teeth were removed with little fanfare. The impacted wisdom tooth, located in the bone directly above and surrounding the cancer site in the soft tissues nearby, was badly damaged and broke the jaw as it was removed, necessitating repair with a bolted in titanium plate. It was the weakest link in all of this, having received strong doses of unavoidable radiation in the cancer treatment. Shock and misery has been the feature of the days since. Thanks to all of you guys, the tribe chugged along at a tough time! You have no idea how grateful I was to see the 20 diamonds Monday morning at a point of time where I was helpless to do anything about it.

Ahhh, well, I do not not seem to be able to stop posting tonight! I am grateful for all I have, heat, home, family and a wonderful dog. My Singing Monsters is like a therapy for me and without it, I tend to overreact my small troubles. Thanks for listening, my friends!

I might have already told you this already but I do have connection through my android phone so I can watch YouTube and communicate on this website but my games are on my iPad which will not stay connected. I did not want you to think I am a Crazy Cupcake with short circuit Twinkles! Ha! ha!

I thought EVERYTHINGZEN was playing again! And Grinch/ Bobbie Sue too! I have been getting so many lights! Can you believe our Internet is STILL unpredictable! It is driving me crazy! We are waiting for an upgrade on January 30, hopefully they can fix it. Apparently our connection contact is underground leading to under our front porch which we had redone and there is no access, opening or gate! If we have snow, I have no idea how it will get fixed. Magic? It is snowing right now. So for now, I am still frantically playing as fast as possible when I do have a connection, sometimes it is 2 minutes, sometimes maybe an hour. Not able to light too often.

I know if I would go to PT to get some help, I would feel better but going 3 times a week, it sure adds up. I go on YouTube a lot for help. That Is scary, about your Eyesight, QUEENOHEARTS! Was it both eyes? I recently had a procedure done one eye, not serious but I started to hyperventilate and almost fainted. (I get so nervous and basically a big baby when anything is medically done to me!) NAMASTE! You are having a really rough time too! I hope the doctors can help you feel better soon! Finally got to the eye doctor who put me on ointment and drops and sight is finally improving some - I thought I was losing my sight which is quite a frightening thing to contemplate. They think it may be due to some other underlying physical condition so here we go again with multiple tests and doctors. Getting older is decidedly NOT for sissies!! I just saw on the main page that Zen is back and playing again with her daughter! For me it is now tax season so I will collect and feed as I can until April 18th is past. @CUPCAKE WITH TWINKLES🧁 Happy New Year! (it isn't too late for one more of those,is it?) Mom,s doing okay now, her problems are apparently resolved thank God for that! Mine, however, are not so much, it getting there. Having a hard time getting a successful hyperbaric session due to blood pressure……which was fine under normal circumstances with what I've been taking…..but there’s some underlying stress that's making controlling it impossible….every time I enter the hospital! Trying more meds to drive it lower overall hoping that will enable me to hit the window of okayness for treatment. Making me crazy it is…..running all over the place to see who what doc wants me to see, not to mention financial death by a thousand copays. Something's gotta give…..

Praying for your recovery, hope it's not becoming a chronic thing, nothing much is more important than sight. I'm amazed at our people, they really support our efforts dayin day out. I’ve been sooo busy, my 97 yr old Mom's been having health issues (which are now resolving) and I've been in and out of the ER almost daily with her this past week. Yet everything here is working out, everyone gets the diamonds! Thanks to everyone for your part in keeping the tribe humming!

@QUEENOHEARTS💖 Thank you for your kind words! So far my eye seems to be getting better little by little. I had some bruises and swelling but little pain. I am glad to get it over with! I hope you can get your eye appointment soon! I just recently saw a friend who had shoulder replacement surgery, it sure does take a long time to recover from! Any shoulder injury or surgery seems to be that way....I still can not get internet, on the ipad. I was able to for maybe 2 hours this past weekend so I zoomed through the games! My husband has been traveling a lot this month but he will be home more towards the end of the month and he will see how we can fix. Wish us luck!
